I took the signature plan of head honchos recently in my efforts to find a placement.
Three services were offered basically in this plan: resume creation, coaching and resume placement.
Resume creation: totally bogus. They asked me for my current resume, then had a fifteen minute call confirming it line by line, then give me back an "improved" resume! No inputs at all from their side. Even I found several spelling and grammar mistakes. I don’t use their resume.
Coaching: the biggest cheat. I was assigned a guy in his seventies(a very retired man) as coach. He knew nothing about my industry, the current trends, nothing. Just three out his 30 minutes of wisdom in a boring speech. Didn’t even care what are my problems, how to solve them. I complained to head honchos, they assigned another person, more of the same thing again. These people just don’t care.
3. Placement: I got one mail with list of "consultants" to whom my resume has been sent. Full stop. Nothing heard from despite several reminders.
