My mother was admitted to Hebsur Hospital, Deshpande Nagar, Hubli, on the 20th of January of this year. She was having a sudden shortness of breath and breathing problems. The staff personnel at the reception didnt treat it as an urgent condition. He didnt even bother when told that it was an urgent matter and she needed to be admitted urgently. He was waiting for God knows which reason. After some time, my mom was finally admitted. The floors were unclean , so was the hospital bed. The doctor, Dr. Narayan, was very arrogant and rude, like the rest of the staff. After a half a day stay, my mother was discharged. On the 5th of Feb my mother had to be admitted to the Intensive Care Unit in Bangalore because her condition worsened. The doctors at the current hospital required a file of the previous hospital admissions. When we called Dr. Narayan, he seemed offended that we asked for the medical file. He was very rude and asked me to tell the doctors at the current hospital to stop digging in the past and treat her by looking at her current symptoms. These words were coming from a medical doctor ! The current doctors needed to construct a case history of symptoms and treatments given because her condition became critical. Its disappointing to have to meet such doctors and to be treated at such hospitals where even if a patient might be dying he or she is asked to wait at the reception. It seems like this hospital is built only to make money at the cost of patients lives.
