The web series is about the Sex workers of Lahore, the show is aired on Netflix. The Epic work of Sanjay Leela Bhansali can be seen on screen. The sets, Costumes, actors are all excellent. although it is not the true representation of the women of Heeramandi, they were far more tortured and subtle than as shown in the show. moreover the show seem to have done glorification of the profession of the sex-workers, which is not acceptable in the Indian Culture. I don’t know why the filmmakers totally ignore the Law and order situations in the incidents, Mallikajaan Killed her sister and bribed the Police officer to go- away with the murder. these things must not be supported by the Indian Cinema. Again Mr. Bhansali tried to make the show an emotional drama but failed terribly. The show didn’t show the male dominant society prevalent in India at that time however, the females are shown extrovert which is something not digestable. Overall a- to be watched for once-show but definitely leaves a mark for being a SLB product.
