Hello, wake up Mr. Director !!!!!!
I must say either the director is enough capable that he had made a good story to an unforgettable nightmare or as a viewer we had expected more out of “One night at call centre”. Chetan Bhagat’s Famous novel to be on screen.
Well starting with the star cast, I must want to say that, it was good. But what Director had done with these talented actors like Sharman Joshi (Shyam), Gul panag(Priyanka), Sohail khan (Vroom), Isha Kopikkar…etc. They are the actors which suits this storyline and characters in a best way , But, this is for sure that, the Director is incapable of utilizing the full potential of them.
In some part it looks like the movie is going nowhere because the soul which was in the novel is missing there. The best part of the novel is the love chemistry between the main Characters that are, Priyanka and Shyam but it was not properly presented in front of viewers. Vroom is one of the most promising character in the story who really gives the much needed attitude to the story line but, same, it was missing in the movie. Also Priyanka who is a Modern Indian girl, love to date, has a typical Indian mother and also have the courageous mentality of fighting for any type of injustice which was mentioned in novel is missing here.
Also as screenplay is concerned many interesting scene are not included in the film, which novel had, that makes, novel more soothing and mind catching. Here also, novel is a edge over its counter part Screen show.
Also, too much loud music made it much more irritating to digest with this type of story line. Movie will be best without songs. Specially that first one with Salman Khan.
So, All in all the much expected output for a viewer, who has read the novel, wants in totality, is lagging in film. Also for those who never read it before doesn’t able to connect through the movie because not a single story, out of all, is an element of sync with the way they had acted.
Also, the atmosphere that is created in the film and that was in the novel is of much difference as level is concerned. The level of novel is much more above the film. For example, when GOD calls them what they had conversed is not effective at all. Also, during the scene of love making of Shyam and Priyanka, the word “Confined space” which had a lot in it, is, not even included in any dialogue.
Finally if you don’t want to relay on my words then better go and watch.
