Helpage India is an non-profit NGO which apparently works towards betterment of senior and disabled citizen in India.
But I am not if they actually do what all the say. I never never their real real centers or schemes being run.
All I find them doing is asking for money and donations on various platforms.
My first interaction with them was in school where their team had come and gave us a presentation.
Then we were given donation collection forms and were asked to visit our neighborhood with that form and ask people for donation. Now imagine over 600 students of all ages from the same locality doing this.
It turned out to be quite a big menace for all residents.
And then they started doing this every year. I guess school going students are an easy target for them as they can collect a big amount of money collectively.
First time they came walking to the school, next time they came in a taxi and third time they came in their own car.
So am not sure if the money we collected actually went to help old people or went in buying that car.
