• Akshay Kumar as Raju

Performances: -

• Akshay Kumar

Akshay impresses you with her “martial art” dance and very dramatic way of dialogue delivery. As Raju, he makes you laugh and at the same time makes you sympathetic towards him. His sarcastic remarks on other two characters makes you chuckle. Though people like my father, who rarely laughs, would just give a smirk and be done with it.

His portrayal of Raju makes you think to categorize this actor under which name, and after pondering a lot over it, you just tend to give up as he can do emotional, comic, action with the same vigor and enthusiasm

His dialogue delivery is highly captivating, and you know he is upto something as he has got mischievous looks on his face. You’ll simply love him in this movie.

Who else: -

Nobody else would have been able to play this role, as well as he did.

His score: -

Since he did his role very close to perfection I would like to award him no less than 7.5. (7.5/10)

• Suneel Shetty

With his masculine and clamorous voice, you’re surely to get a shock seeing him in a comic role. But to the surprise of much of his fans, he can make you laugh if not roll down with your stomach aching due to long time laughter. He surely presses your nerves but apparently fails to leave a long lasting impression.

When I think of him just one dialogue comes to mind “jaan se maar dunga”, and listening to this dialogue you simply feel why he, and why not anyone else to play this role. But this initial piece of opinion fades when the story moves further exploiting this actor more.

In essence, I was bit doubtful if he would be able to do justice to his comic role but at the end of the movie I was (kind of), satisfied that he didn’t let his fans down. But ya his voice don’t suit the role, and his straightforward manner wherein he fails to make you laugh with his mannerism.

Who else: -

I feel his personality doesn’t suit for this role, though no doubt he did his level best to portray his part. I feel bobby deol would have been a better choice. Though even he has not done much of comedy but yet I feel he would have done this role with more efficiency.

But not to blame director as none of us can say that Suneel was a complete failure.

He did part really worth and more perfect as was expected of him.

His score: -

Since it was an entirely new territory to even try his hands on, he deserves applause. And I will award him 7 points. (7/10)

• Paresh Rawal

He’s the real hero of the movie. His simplicity and mannerism makes you laugh to death. He rightly deserved the award for best comedian that he received also (filmfare). His Marathi accent is simply fabulous with every dialogue and his stupidity makes you laugh.

Whichever the scene may be if he’s there, you are sure to laugh and the best part is he twists every dialogue in such a way that you can’t help laughing and clapping for his subtle remarks.

Initially, this actor had started as a villain and later character roles leading to comedy, but whatever he did he was excellent. Who can forget Tamanna wherein he played the part of the eunuch with such splendor that even the worst of critics went gaga over his performance.

Who else: -

Can’t even think of any other person.

His score: -

He scores 8.5. (8.5/10), for his magnificent performance.

• Tabbu

She hardly had much to play. She’s a lady with lot of talent and when she accept such roles I really feel pity. Why does she need to play such small and petty roles, is beyond my understanding.

Her fans accept her to do roles with lot of substance and worthiness.

Nothing more to say about her, hope next time she would think twice before accepting such trivial roles.

• Gulshan Grover

He’s the known “bad boy” of bollywood, and he did his part well. As such, there was nothing much to play for him, just to call the three characters and demand money. But, whatever he did fairly well.

It’s number: -

Tunak tunak, how can one forget this item number, namrita simply looks ravishing.

As the whole: -

Movie is a hot treat for the lovers of comedy and good performance.
