Hey guys I have a CBZ 2005 model and purchased it on 26th January :-) the Republic day.
I was a bit confused about which bike to buy as I have already driven CBZ for 4 years before and also the pulsar but finally I made up my mind for CBZ.
Now I have driven it for 27000 Kms in 1.5 year and very satisfied with the bike.
Problems:
I got lot of problem in the masks flap (black transparent flap fitted over speedometer) which kept on vibrating and I had to go to the dealer for 2-3 tmies then it got fixed. Also the fenders below the tank are not as strong as they used to be before. Internal locks on of both side fenders are gone and I have to put a foam between it and leg-guard, and if you replace with new one it its so costly. Overall I will say few plastic parts in the bike give you problem...
Advantages:
I have driven almost all bikes and I can say that its very comfortable and you dont feel tired while driving it for long. Ya rear seat is not that comfortable but the looks while somebody sit on the rear seat are very sexy.... The gears are smooth. Chain is reliable and doesnt get loose soon.
Engine:
I have not faced any kind of problem in the engine till now (27000 Kms) and its as strond as it was on the first day I took it out of the showroom. engine is definitly very reliable.
Others:
the braking is very good. Style is ultimate. Throttle is a bit hard than other bikes in the market. Mask, rear looks, tank, seat all are really good looking....
Well this bike is quite reliable but a bit fuel hungry always. But take my words bro its a great bike to ride. I have driven pulsar, tvs , yamaha (4 strokes I am talking about) but the comfort you get on this bike is really great..... Best thing about the bike is that you can get a good pickup all the time... even if you are at 80 you can feel the response to the throttle.....
I have driven it to Shima from Delhi and again back and it didnt gave me any kind of panic in the ride. the pulsar guys and Karizma guys were a bit depresses while driving fast in the vally but this bike beated all of them except the RD 350 and yamaha 135 with us and also Unicorn was giving a good fight. I was so disappointed about the pulsar guys.. may be they were not in a mood to race on the hilly roads...
