I bought the cd dawn in the month of april 2004. I was thinking to buy a splendor but many people told me that u should try cd dawn instead. It is cheaper than splendor by 8000-9000 in my city so I went for cd dawn. Before the first servicing I recorded a steady mileage of 45 kmpl in the city, not went on highway until 750 kms.
After first servicing the city average increased by 7 kmpl giving 52 kmpl. Highway average is too good now, its 58-60 kmpl even after 1st servicing only. Many of friends say that it will increase upto 60kmpl in city and 72 kmpl on highway.
Remember when buying this bike, the leg guard and saree guard come extra, also there is no fuel indicator but 1.8 litre reserve is good for highway riding. Be sure to attach petrol lock as no fuel indicator is a problem and petrol theft will lead u DHAKKA GADDI to the petrol pump.
Riding is smoother, engine noise and firing resembles with passion. In fact if you look closely, engine outside design, fuel tank design matches that with passion, only headlight and tail light do not match.
In all the bike is very good, I recommend to every person who just want to save money and buy a good bike. Do not go on its looks. It is worth every penny you spend on it.
