HONDA - VIOLENCE LED TO ZERO BONDA FOR ALL

HONDA VIOLENCE LED TO NO BONDA FOR ALL.

I wish to highlight the following message as an eye-opener not only for the Honda company but also for the whole working class employees including Government employees at all levels.

Yesterday i.e. on 25th July 2005 and 26th July I saw some street fightings by the HONDA employees with regard to issue of dismissal of employees. While I can understand the financial position when an employee is removed viz., the entire family of the dismissed family goes without money for the essentials like food,

clothing and shelter rather No food No clothing clothing and No shelter. This is one side of the acute problems for the employees. On the other hand, majority of the employees all over India don’t know much about the problems of the employers. This is very sad thing. Hero Honda company or any company for that matter or any Government department appoints the people for job. Do the employees do the job properly to the entire satisfaction of the superiors. I want to inform the concerned

employees that if they are an asset they will not be removed generally. If the employees are a liability then they are bound to be dismissed from the company.

The employees who have worked 10 years or 15 years maybe tempted to think that they are the owners of the company but in reality they are not even if they work for 50 years with ordinary working. Also the employees should think how much output they have done for the company. For e.g how many lakhs of rupees have they created as income for the company. Majority of the employees think about their salary throughout the month but have no interests in developing for profit oriented service to any company or serving Government efficiently. When this is so, how can the employees expect them to keep in the company. Never think what the Hero Honda company has done for me. Anybody must think how many lakhs/crores of rupees have I created for the company. If this kind of attitude prevails there won’t be any strikes/lock outs. If this kind of attitude prevails within us, we would feel happy with any Government and there will not be any major problems. We should never think what our Government has done us. On the other hand we should think what have I done for the Government. If this kind of attitude prevails within us, we would feel happy with any Government and there will not be any major problems.

I wish to give another example the incident took place some 10 years before. I was travelling in a city government bus. A passenger who had already taken a ticket for Rs.2 was travelling and was giving trouble to the conductor. The poor conductor who was issuing ticket upset over the passenger who was giving trouble requested him to get down immediately. Then the passenger was saying that he had taken the ticket till the bus terminus and stated that the conductor cannot force him to get down since he had ticket. The passenger challenged the conductor he will give any trouble but conductor cannot drop him in the middle since he had a valid ticket.

Violence breeds violence. Violence has no place in an efficient office.

Trade Unions should not be a source for strikes/lock-outs/violence. Trade Unions on the other hand should help as the bridge between employees and employers. If India presently a developing country wants to become a developed country efficiency should be given importance.

HINT: I request all the employees to read Bhagavad Gita.   Any person who has read Bhagavad Gita thoroughly would never indulge in violence. Facts of Life is Bhagavad Gita. The message by Lord Krishna gives unlimited tips for non-violence.
