Wishes to you all...after reading a lots of review on Hunk while buying my own bike...i decide today to share my experience. I would like to mention that I am sharing my experience and is not under the influence of any external effects!!! :)..so u may take it as a review or watevr!! he he he!!
I got my bike in december last year...n I was very conscious of it as it was newly launched...so nobody had an idea....however with faith on HERO HONDA and a test drive, I went for it..believe me I am too happy that I made a superb decision. Initially I was inclined on Pulsar....but now I dont regret it as there is lot too many Pulsars around u..till date on roads, ppl stare at my bike and ask me the features n all...feels really good!!
Okay...so as for the performance, I have driven around 6000 km coupled with two long drives :). Fuel Consumption: I got a max of 53.33 kmpl once in city conditions but for that you need to take care of lot of tricks...I did that just let ppl know it can achieve above 50...especially those who say its mileage is around 40!!!!! but now with my driving speed, style and road conditions I am getting 46-47 kmpl...n m very happy with that!!!
I have rode at 120 kmph max till date and only thing I felt bad was the vibration...still the rocking experience overshadowed it!!! :) Reliability: Need not say anything about Hero Honda bikes....one that revolutionised the biking sector!!!! Comfort, handling and control: I tend to say it has one of the best handling n control among the bikes of its class...one of my trips I drove 300 km in a day!! n the conditions included everything...100 kms of expressway, 45 kms of damned road..full of potholes, pebbles, breakers n all kind of stuff u can imagine..but believe...
The control was too good, brakes working smoothly, bike was falling in potholes but u nvr loose the grip!! n while returning I drove in heavy rain for abt 20 kms! When i told one of my friends abt this, his first question was: "How is the Bike??"..Really I myself was scared as the trip was planned 2 weeks after 3rd service!! I told him I’ll find out in the morning...n I was overwhelmed to see that nothing has happened to my "Silent but Wild Bull"!!!! n after a trip of 300 kms in a day, driving all the distance myself...I was tired but not as much as it seems....more than that..happy coz of the marvellous experience!
I learnt bike on pulsar, n few days back I drove pulsar again after a long gap...but I felt as if something is missing...u feel more like riding bike wen on Hunk...tat myt be my personal opinion..but thats wat I felt!!!The raised backseat really enhances the looks..but not that there is nothing wrong with the bike...if u drive in rain, sometimes the Horn was not working, donno why..but think it myt be coz of water falling on tat..but it blows intermittently!
Even the headlight, I dont find good...I feel its shud be more powerful... n ya....I like the needled meters more than the digital ones...the red highlight of speedometer in Hunk makes it sexier!! So guys....though Unicorn n Pulsar is dere...Hunk has its own niche..anybody planning for it..need not think twice!!! do tell me if my info is sufficient..or if I missed something..let me know!
