Best economical bike in its segment(100cc)

I have been owning/driving Passion Pro bike since 2011 and I am completely satisfied with its performance and utility.  The bike is lightweight, easy to man-oeuvre in city traffic and has good stability at high speeds(around 80kmph).  I have covered each aspects of the bike below:

Mileage:  It depends entirely on the way we drive. I am an enthusiastic driver and I push the engine hard so I get around 40kmpl in city and 50kmpl in highways(which I rarely travel in bike).  If you are a sedate driver and drive at a consistent speed of 60kmph the mileage may reach 60kmpl.

Comfort: Two adults can travel comfortably in this bike as the seats are long and broad than its counterpart(splendor).  I and my friends used to travel in triples during college days and the bike had enough power to cruise ahead. But the power is considerably less when compared to higher CC bikes like pulsar, Apache and FZ.  Suspension is good and riding is smooth.  Riding position is also upright so it does’nt give any backpain during long drives.

Reliability:  Bike hasn’t broken down even once and it is reliable as the other Hero honda bikes.  Believe me, I have traveled from Chennai to Yelagiri once and Chennai to Tada falls twice in the bike and it the experience was good.  Only on hills/slopes you have to downshift frequently to move ahead. Build quality of the bike is good and it is stable till 80kmph, if you speed over 90kmph it starts to vibrate. The engine doesnt gets heated up in long travels.

Road Grip/Tyres: The default tyres provided are thicker and wider than splendor. This gives more control during sudden braking and the bike doesnt lean on one side while braking. The disc brakes provided are more efficient than the drum ones. Try to use both front and rear brakes simultaneously for better stoppage. During wet conditions the brakes are less efficient. Tyre lasts for around 15k kms and try to replace with CEAT tyres.

Appeal: The looks of the vehicle is very outdated now and would be preferred only by people who are 35+. But on any-day the looks are far sportier than splendor. I have the blue version and I feel it looks better than the other colors.

Maintenance: The vehicle is very light on our pockets to maintain. It just needs periodic service for every 3k kms/5 months which includes changing of engine oil. It costs around Rs.250 for engine oil(Servo 4T-1Litre). Since the engine is air cooled there is no coolant required.

Overall Verdict: You can go ahead with this bike if you prefer performance over power/looks.
