Is Hero Honda Pleasure a success model? In fact the product wasn’t as success as Scooty or Activa.
One reason for the failure of Pleasure may be, it was a late entrant after Scooty , Activa , Dio , Sunny , Spirit and etc.
Pleasures ’ tag line says "Why should boys have all fun", is this necessary for an ad? The tag line projects as if girls riding Hero Honda Pleasure can dominate guys. We shouldn’t forget that Girls and culture are respected and treasured in this country.
Even in an ad for Scooty, it shows girls having more fun but without projecting as if the product can dominate guys. In truth no girls are insane to wish to dominate guys purposely and so guys.
You should remember that "Nobody can dominate you without your permission ". Be it any gender, its not at all needed to put down a gender and sell a product. In fact girls riding Pleasure do not project themselves to dominate guys, then why do brands go for such a tag line for a product.?
In case of numbers, Still I find many urban, semi urban and rural gals riding Scooty and Activa happily. Hence I can tell that, an advertisement cannot sell a product to its target (Female) just by making the target group(Female) happy by putting down the other gender (Male). It applies for vice versa as well.
