SINGING CAN ALSO TURN A WORST BUSINESS

SINGING CAN ALSO TURN A WORST BUSINESS:

Ref: writer pratap simha’s journal in vijaya Karnataka.

Wonder how? Then its time to watch our Hindi reality singing shows.

Its not just one, but plenty in the business. Well first let us view from the start. It was Indian idol 1 which started the actual drama!(Why.revealed later).when it first came to India, every one turned their attention towards it(including me).Its format, its latest techniques, to grab viewers attention were heartily welcomed by our people. Very soon its popularity rose to its zenith. But things started changing day by day.  Many familiar reality shows started to emerge. And now it has gone worse that singing has turned to a worst business.

If you are a regular viewer of these shows, you would know that the winner is chosen by audience sms pole and not by any judge who is present on the show. You may once or twice or more than that! Could have voted for your favorite contestant hoping that he/she would become the maharaja of sangeeth!(As they say).but

Do you know? By voting them you are just wasting your phone balance and lots of precious time for nothing which is worthy.

Let me explain how…

For your information, they(mobile companies) charge overall Rs 6 for each message that you send to these shows in which the company share is Rs 2 and remaining Rs4 fall to the channels pocket.

Just believe, the sms’s sent on october13 to SA re ga ma pa final exceeds 10 crore! Amazed aren’t you?

Sending sms for such a purpose, I call it as a sheer nonsense

People sense a feel of contentment, voting to their beloved contestants hoping their win in the contest. And if they win, we the voters feel proud for making their lives bright and fortunate.  But the real question is, will they truly remain fortunate or famous besides the screen i.e. after the show? Then the witnessed answer is surely NO!

I say all these because the past has taught such lesson. Does anyone remember Abhijeeth sawanth who came out victories in Indian idol 1?

He may be seen in some albums now but he has not been a playback singer yet as the show promised to do so. And does anyone know Indian idol 1 runner-up Amith Sana and taukir khazi are on the edge of bankruptcy! For releasing their own album which is made together? Their lives have come to the roads. Naturally anyone can easily guess that the lives of present winner, Prashanth tamang and runner-up Amith pal, will not be more different than the above mentioned singers.

This is all because they are just sms winners.

Indian idol which was started three years back, SA re ga ma pa which got transformed into a reality show since two years before, and star plus’s latest, “voice of India” singing shows are projected as “talent shows” only for namesake. Their main intention is not to bring out the hidden talents of blooming singers but to increase sms number by making its viewers fools, with the interactive stage performances and marketing. Now you can decide who is facilitated much.

In-between this, channels even play drama by creating love stories between contenders to increase itsTRP.(IN sa re ga ma pa, Himesh reshammiya connects a love story with sumedha and aneek can be remembered)few times they even start quarreling regarding the dress code of singers on stage. Do you think is these all necessary for a pure singing programme?

Channels show their wisdom in forcing its viewers to send sms, too. They emotionally black mail its viewers by showing the poor and unconventional life of few participants for which viewers feel pity and type sms to send.

Finally these reality shows have witnessed us, that singing can also turn a worst business now.

What I all suggest is, if u r a true fan of these reality shows, surely watch it for entertainment, but don’t waste your precious money by sending sms to such jerk shows for which money is everything….BYE.
