I bought my spendor in 1996. Will complete 10 years this October. And what a 10 years its been. In these 10 years my bike has not let me down even once. Hats off to Hero Honda for makinf such a bike. Initially it gave me an average of 72 and then went up to 85 for almost 8-10 months after I took it for ride from Pune to Mahabaleshwar.
Even after 10 years it gives me an average of @ 65 (down becuase of bad maintainance). I have ahd a dozen accidents too but nothing has affected the engine todate - touch wood. These days I drive less but used to drive almost 1000-1200 kms per month. The only thing I did not like is the width of the tyres. So thin that it used to skid even if it smells water. I replaced it with a thicker tyre and oola it works fine. I have not chnged the front tyres at all. Its holding good even now. Back tyre was changed 2 times.
The electrical parts though will not earn the same praise as the engine. Thats seen lot of replacements and repairs. And also no good words for the Hero Honda authorised dealers - very bad servicing. I gave my bike only for the 1st 3 servicings.
