Hey baby comes from one of the best production house , stars current
comedy king and directed by one of the best comedy anchor . what do you
expect is a rip-roaring comedy film but to be sad the comedy lasts for
only 45 min. in first half and then it gets a bit boaring with some odd
scenes standing out in second half.
Three friends( Ayush, Tanmay , AL) living in australia are enjoying
there life to the full ( Ayush works as manager in club , Tanmay works
as eddy teddy while AL stays home and bets on cricket matches ), until
one morning a baby(subhaan nadiadwala) comes to their doors. The
problem starts from here as nobody knows who the baby belongs to nor
they have any idea of how to take care of baby. the situations arising
from this is very funny leading to some double meaning jokes and some
30 odd slaps this guys takes when they try to find who their mother is
(though it gets a bit tiresome after sometime ) . one day being tired
of BAbys crying they decide to abandon the baby . As in usual cases
they realised that they are attached to the baby after they had kept
her outside the church and the at the same time rain falls down and the
baby is nearly on death bed until a miracle saved her. After this whole
thing was going well for them until Esha came back to take her baby .
THree guys are now so attached with baby they were not able to live
without her and thus makes a plan to get her back . do they succeed is
anybody’s guess.
The film is brilliant till the guys decide to abandon the babyy
after which film goes down and down with some good scenes in the second
half. MIlap zaveri shows his ability again after MAsti .
Cinematography(Himman Dhamija ) is good though nothing
extraordinary. Music is strictly ok with only Title song and MAst
kalandhar standing out as chartbusters.
Sajid khan(director and writer) shows his flair in first 45 min.
but then his inexperience started showing as he started making use of
all the Manmohan desai cliches he used to make fun off in his shows.
Coming to performances Riteish is ok but he needs to do something
about his look . he is looking more and more of gay with extreme use of
lipsticks.
FArdeen is good here and his Parimal Tripathi part was one of the strong point in second half though he looked overweight.
Vidya looked awful and heavy here . There is nothing much for her
to do in this film and she fails to show any nature of bonding with the
child.
Now the other actress in the film Subhaan nadiadwala is awesome .
She is so cute and adorable nobody will hate this film just due to her.
The star of show here is again Akshay Kumar and he proves that he
is very good in comedy though after JEM again he was not good in
emoting scenes >PArticularly the one where child is dying when
Akshay cries it looked more like a laughter.
