Since Godrej sold their business to ISS, rewriting my experiences in addition to what was my earlier review.Earlier I had rated Godrej at 2, upfront let me say, ISS Hicare is not more than 1 now.
Here’s why
a. they added a call center to attend to customers. Since the call center began working, my details and queries have been ignored... simply because the processes are not in place and there are compatibility issues between the service center and call center. So this is a big disappointment that the coordination between their teams causes inconvenience to customers.
b. though they have retained the same Godrej staff, the service quality has seen a dip.
earlier the guys who used to come and spray used to be more helpful in spraying a little carefully in case of small houses, now these guys just go about mechanically
I have had the new guys come and leak their chemicals on beds/sofa without taking care to not drop the chemicals on them
c. their chemicals used earlier were helping to get rid of not just the cockroaches but other small mites, ants silverfish etc. but now these insects have become very resistant and there is no impact of the chemicals. Unfortunately, these guys don’t listen to the customer AT ALL and go about doing their job mechanically.
they don’t pass on the feedback to the office hence the quality of work is degrading.
The insects in our kitchen are multiplying more than before now.
Godrej was probably better, ISS is worse because ISS is more of an international marketing and facility management company that is trying to take over other businesses and spoil the quality.
I will be moving out of their contract by the end of this year if they do not listen to my complaints and improve their service levels.

Pest Control at home is a no longer an option in Mumbai homes. It’s a necessity given the congestion of construction, lack of enough sunlight in the homes and suitable means to keep things dry. Hence pests of all kinds are all over the place and need ’effective’ and long term treatment. I have taken the Godrej Hi Care service over the last year.
I have not tried any other service till Godrej. when I heard that they have odorless treatment and limited spraying of chemicals in esp. in the kitchen, I went for it. My brief review a. Year 1 - good service, effective for the pests that I had in my house - silver fish, aphid/ants, white ants(not termites); unfortunately, no help available on the names of the pests these services target. b. Year 2 - heavy dilution in quality of service with almost 10% increase in rate.
The chemicals used are diluted heavily and I suspect that these service guys are probably only spraying water this time; none of the pests in my house this year were eliminated. I see a different variety appearing now. I call up the service center but they say my doubts are baseless. So my trust factor this year is at an all time low and I am seeking alternate service options.
Wanted to add that the Godrej customer service folks do not give an option to speak to someone who can give better technical explanation to the chemicals used and the pests that they are used on. As a result what happens is that we tend to see some pests/insects and think that these are not getting eliminated so the service is not effective.
Unfortunately, most of the service industry in India today is exploiting the low qualified manpower who are incapable of giving the right answers.
I hope Godrej at least ensures that technically trained staff are able to answer queries to the BEST of Customers’ satisfaction.
