How to get access to this nation?
It is not so easy to reach in this hilly terrain as they havent sufficint airodroms and road transport.Only one air port situated in a place called Paro, nearly 120 km. from capital Thimpu.But there are no freequent aircrafts, on every thursdays flight service available from Kolkatta [ Calcutta].One who travells feel it is easy for him to travell by road.From India direct road transport is available to reach in Thimpu. By train one can reach in New Alipur Dwar station, situated in the eastern most part of West Bengal province of India. Since we have to get down at Jaigon by taxi or buss [40 km.] where we can fullfil the immigration formalities from boarder immigration office.It will take only few hours to get immigration if u carry a valid identification card[ pasport or driving licence]From Jaigon busses are available to Thimpu, takes 8 hrs. to get down at Thimbu, where hotels are available for accommodation and food.
Which are the place to visit?
Important places to vist in Bhutan may classify in to two - one related with thier culture and the second related to the geography and natural diversity.Related to their culture most prominent places are Punakha and Bumthang. For natural diversity Paro, Thimbu, Haa, Chuka and Wagdi are advisable places. In Paro Takshang monastry is a wonderful piece of construction.
