This is another review by me on yet another product unknown to many people out there. - Himalaya Dental Cream (Toothpaste)
Somehow I seem to have developed the knack of picking up the most obscure product; and not think twice before using it.:) But this toothpaste has been an amazing discovery. And I would love to share it with all of u at MS.I dont know y but all Himalaya products are not being talked about so much as their counterparts from HLL or P&G. They seem to rely on the word of mouth tactics, and it works for them.
It comes in a bright silver packing and usually occupies the backseats in the shelf. We dont research on toothpastes and on what brands that are available recently. We just ask the shopkeeper to give us the one that we use. Thats why most of us must have missed this sleeping giant as mentioned in MS.
Let me go into the review without further ado
Taste:
Yup it matters. And for a toothpaste, it is the most important factor for most of us. Open the pack and you will find a brown colour toothpaste greeting you. Some dont find that fascinating. You would expect a ayurvedic or medicinal taste, but you are pleasantly greeted by a minty and refreshing flavor. The best way to start your morning, it perks up even the lousiest mornings ina jiffy.
Colour:
Not many of us would appreciate a brown colour toothpaste that reminds me of my mud pack more than anything else :)
Abilities: This is where the toothpaste strikes, and that too with full force.
Continuous usage can stop bleeding gums to a considerable extent from my experience. Which colgate and pepsodent failed.
Being an ayrvedic product, it boasts of Neem (fights germs that attack your gums and teeth), Pomegranate (tightens gums, thus closing gaps between gums and teeth, where food particles usually collect), Meswak and Babool prevent bleeding of gums.
All said and done, the presence of these herbs cannot be verified. You have to take the risk of taking these on the face value.
It is surely a better product than the lousy colgate toothpaste which has been reigning the roost for quite some time. So good as to win many a loyal customer despite its obscurity. In case you are facing any recurrent dental problems, then u sure could try this product once, whose true capability is still unexplored.
Coming to the cons, Himalaya must try promoting its product. Not only the sales point of view, but also the customer can get information about the product and the various alternative products available from its stable. It has left everything to us to find out. ...Mystery box.
Would be happy to recieve ur comments on the review.
Cheers!
