This car is good for the rural part of india where there is no proper road. I bought a second hand car after much consideration. I was looking for Tata sumo or other SUV.
These is my personal experience with these car. Eventhough I live in Singapore I go back to India once every 2 to 3 year. I usually get an Amby cap to travel around. My home town is in Tamil Nadu, Nagapattinum district. You can imagine the roads at these places. Since I mostly come to india for 1 month, I need to maximise the time to visit as much relatives and friends, and they don’t leave in city area or even town, mostly in quiet rural areas with padi and sugar cane fields around. These is india, I enjoy the peaceful environment of the rural areas, after being serounded by concreat jungle in Singapore.
Ok, back to amby, once I was traveling on my uncles car on my way to Cuddolore beach and the car broke down. There was alot of smoke at the engine. I am not good at mechine, so not sure what was the problem. The driver told me that he needs some rubber band or a piece of cloth to repair the engine. He manage to get one, fix the engine and we continued the journey to the beach. I was suprise that they could just use any comman material you use, to fix the car temporarily. Either the car engine was easy to repair, that you don’t need a cert, or the driver was a good. Its easy to repair. No need to call the tow truck.
For those living in the city or town area, there should not be issue getting the latest model cars as there would be dealers, and repair shop near these area. I am talking about rural area where people have to face the terible indian road. I heard that the repair jobs are expensive for new models.
This is the first indian car I bought and I would recommend those leaving in rural parts of india for these car. I would get a another car model as my second car, but I would always have amby around as my first.
