Hope I would be able to be of help to you. I have had experience with 3 different ACs in 3 rooms for my house. Have used Hitachi Mu Series, LG and the assembled on, and believe me all of them have their own positives and negatives. If you are a die hard fan of going for a branded AC then you can close your eyes and go in for Hitachi Room AC and can choose the power depending upon room size I guess 1.5 ton is best. The positives that I can share right way would be , first that the AC is comparatively silent and very elegant to look at and has a remote control to control all functions.
Secondly, the service is pretty decent. And I say pretty coz there is definitely a scope for being the best.
LG would be something that I personally won’t recommend though it’s a cheaper option in branded ones but you might have lot of issues with it.
However, on the contrary, in case you are o.k. for going in for a non branded one, then you can strike a good deal too. The major difference between a branded and a non branded one is the fact that non branded one does not have rotary compressors.
Rotary compressors are non repairable ones and have to be replaced as whole.....with branded one.
But are silent at the same time.
So, it’s an open market, you have everything available, but in case you want to go in for branded one, go in for Hitachi at a premium.
And in case you decide for assembled, make sure that you have a compressor from kirloskar or Tecumseh........proven leaders.
