I had purchased Hitachi Kaze 1.1 ton window AC in April 2011. Here’s my feedback abt the product.
Lets Begin with the Pros:
Efficient Cooling.
Energy Efficient (i have a 3 star AC but 5 star AC is also available). Not much Jhatka on electricity bill. I used the AC daily for around 8 - 10 hours in May 2011. Electric Bill was not much only around 3600 Rs..
Trust of Quality as it is a product of a Japanese Company - No one can beat japan in Quality and perfection (also it is difficult to Copy or duplicate Japanese products).
4.Good Customer Service ( from their Service centre ) . They are very prompt and reliable and customer focused atleast in Mumbai City. Not sure about the service quality in other parts of the country.
Cons:
Very expensive priced (around 19 - 20K), you can get a window AC starting at 10K also.
The window ac produces too much Noice (Decible ), Noice will also depends on the Position of your window AC and the distance from the Bed.
one needs to be sure abt the electrical voltage in the house, The PCB circit of my AC had burned down twice, (but got it replaced without any pain ). This is due to power voltage fluctuations. Best is to buy a voltage stabilizer, but again it costs additional 3 - 4 thousand. Hitachi dosent provide the voltage stabiliser.
Dont buy hitachi Kaze with single motor they make lot of noice. Buy the Twin Motor Hitachi Kaze models they are more superior and quiet ( as adviced by the company service man).
Am satisfied with Hitachi Kaze as of now..
