Technician decides when they want to install !!!

I bought a split 1.5 tons AC Hitachi AC in 2011. The customer service fixed up time for installation but the technicians never turn up. They made me wait on Thursday(Sir, I will come in another hour type stories), Friday, Saturday. Finally on Sunday I lost my temper and told them that I will return the AC if they cant install it. The technicians turned up and made an easy excuse about not having the right piping delivered. They simply dont want to work and extend the deadlines. They DO NOT CARE if you have been waiting for days to get the installation done. I called up Croma(From where I purchased the product) - they were very helpful and asked the technician to come and pick up the piping etc they needed. Grudgingly, the technicians agreed. They took 2 hours to collect the material when the store is 5 mins away from my place. After much pressure, they installed the AC on Sunday. Now, I am shifting my apartment to another flat in the same building. Its been 3 days of waiting and promises and no one has turned up yet. Now they want me to take a holiday on Monday, tomorrow, to get the process completed. Customer service executive says he does not know the name of his supervisor, customer service head or the MD of the company(Lies, lies, lies)


If you really want to save yourself the pain of being treated like a usless lump who has nothing better to do than wait for the godlike technician to turn up, sure go ahead and buy a Hitachi Air Conditioner. Else, just go for LG who send their technicians on time within 24 hours and fix everything in one go. Really sad experience with Hitachi, that too twice. Wanted to buy another split AC for the bedroom - surely going with LG. Never ever will touch Hitachi who have no respect for customer’s time. Of course, you can never escalate a complaint with them either - no one knows who is the customer service head or even the supervisor of the team.
