BIG NO to Hitachi.
I bought two Hitahi Window ACs, 15 days back. Used them once and was shocked to hear the sound they were making. Very next day I called the customer support, number which was mentioned on remote of AC. First time the bell rang no one picked, second call- You seems to have dialed a wrong number, third call-Welcome to Hitachi, you will be assisted shortly - a guy responded but it was too difficult to establish communication, because voice was breaking. Somehow I managed to make him register my complaint and the service guy visited my place next day. Service guy dismantled the AC. For the first AC he tried to fix it but later on told that, this much sound it will make, you have to bear with it. WDF!!
For the second AC he told us that a component (a compressor nut) is missing, due to which its making noise. Guys component missing in brand new AC. Damn the person who does the quality check for these ACs.
Service guy told us that Ill check whether the spare part is available in service center or not, till then dont use the AC. He went and after two hours no response. Finally I called to which he said Sirji, I checked part is not available in service center. It has to come from Gujarat. Well raise a request and get it procures ASAP.
10 days have passed since then, component hasnt came from Gujarat. I call customer care everyday and they just give false assurances that it will be procured in 2-3 days. I asked them to replace it or do a stop gap arrangement, to which they said sir we cant do this you have to wait till the part gets procured.
God knows till when the part will come, all I know is that I am without AC, even after paying price of AC to Hitachi.
Again- NEVER EVER HITACHI.
