I think Hitachi brand has just caught up with the market. Its a hype and has become a kind of fashion Statement to buy Hitachi AC, Sounds Japanese, may be that’s why.
But the Japanese thing ends right there. Only after 1 year of buying a Hitachi 1.5 ton window AC, it broke down. It was not starting ..that’s it. had to call service guys. Its rs 550 per visit even he attaches a wire. In next one year again the same problem. had to spend rs 2500 to change the circuit board. In two years I have spent close to rs 5000 and I bought this elephant for Rs 28000.
Also, the swing mechanism was faulty rite from day 1 of my purchase. I heard all ACs have compressor supplied by Voltas. then why do we spend so much money on these ACs when they cannot even a build a good panel circuit.
Beats me!! Dont buy Hitachi. Its over priced and not worth your money. Email me if you want any details this is a real consumer who faced real issues.
