I actually re-read this book in recent time to refresh my childhood memory.
The Hobbit was first published in 1937 by J R. R. Tolkien. When a wizard comes back in the town and knocking on Bilbos door and tells him that its time to go on an adventure. Essentially the dwarves land and treasure has been taken over by the dragon and they have decided to reclaim it, and this is where the story takes off.
Bilbo obviously being a man loving his home and his little hobbit hole and his meals but ultimately decided that hes never gonna have this opportunity again so he goes on and he proves to be really really helpful.
The reason that I love this story so much is that it is absolutely timeless. It is a story of someone who is reluctant to leave their shelter at home and then decided to go out on an adventure and its changed their life. This is an age-old story but obviously set in a fantasy land which makes it all the better because I love fantasy, I love dragons.
Lets talk about Tolkiens writing. His writing is so good that you lost time track. Interesting storytelling, very beautiful passages.
I will definitely recommend reading The Hobbit. Its very old but different story. Its aimed towards children but at the same time, I dont feel like its dumbed down. I feel its very mature and interesting. I absolutely love The Hobbit I think its the perfect combination of good writing, storytelling and loveable characters. Its such a good classic story that I would highly recommend to everyone.
