I have a 2003, 2.4 L i-vtec in dubai. I bought it second hand in 2005, and since then have been using it for everyday use. So far, the car has clocked 150, 000 kms.
According to me, this car is a beauty and a beast. The 2.4 L i-vtec is an awesome engine that delivers the correct amount of pwer and torque for this kind of vehicle. It is unlike so many other vehicles which have engines totally dis-proportionate to their size.
This 2.4L i-vtec purrs like a cat while cruising / idle, but put your foot to the metal, and the cat wakes up, and you can feel the beast roar. It’s quite peppy and responsive on the road.
The interior is simple and basic, yet classy and elegant.Interior space is enough for 5 people to comfortable sit in the car, be it for a short trip to the mall or a road trip across the country.
The shape of the 2003 accord looks sleek and classy. The fuel economy according to me is quite good. I get 500 kms for a full tank costing AED 70/- (approx INR 950/-).
Even though the car is now 6 years old and has clocked 150, 000 kms, I have never had the slightest problem with her. I make sure she is serviced at the Honda service center everey 5000 kms.It’s a beautiful car, definate value for your hard earned money, and you can be sure of one thing...No matter what mood you are in...no matter how angry / grumpy / disappointed you are when you get into the car, once you turn the key, you won’t be able to wipe that silly grin off your face.
