I should say my experience with this scooter has not gone well. I have fallen twice from the scooter due to its skidding nature. My friend has warned me not to buy this scooter because of the same problem. The other issue which we all have with this scooter, to use the kick start option we have to put the scooter on the main stand. its competitor TVS Jupiter sorted out this problem. Activa should also adopt the same techenology.
I couldn’t get anywhere near to the company claimed mileage of 60kmpl. First 8-10 months I got the mileage around 45-50kmpl but after that it dropped down to around 35-40kmpl. For me it is a fuel addict.
Look wise it is also the same as its predecessors. Honda do have made some cosmetic changes such as back light and a little twisted face, that is also not visible.
Handling and control is also an issue for me. In rainy season when the roads are wet don’t ever go over 40kmpl as I already mentioned it has a skiddy nature. Its pickup is also not very powerful especially someone has experienced a powerful bike. Though, this kind of pick up is good for girls and elderly people.
It is not very comfortable for me. It is okay to ride this scooter for a nearby place but for longer distances you can feel spinal pain and you have to take frequent breaks in your journey. Pillion seat is spacious and comfortable. Due to its low ground clearence it may collide with a speed breaker.
Undoubtedly, this scooter does have lots of good things. This is why this is India’s one of the most selling scooter for the last 15 years. As far as my experience with this scooter goes, it was not very pleasing at all. For me safety and fuel efficiency is the top most priority. I would recommend this scooter only to girls with a suggestion don’t ride on this scooter in rain.
