I have purchased this bike accidentally. Why accidentally coz I was looking for Honda Dio, but unfortunately no supply for Deo so found Honda as 1st choice due to its performance and Activa-i as its looks.Even I had option for normal Activa or Aviator too. but these two looks very heavy by weight as well as by look.So decided this slim look Activa i.
My observation which might help you:
1.Its very comfortable.
2.Its pickup was super and observed that after a certain speed, accelerator feels like butter, no vibration and super.
3.Combi break feature.In front break they have given a combi break feature means if you apply left break, it will apply in both front and rear break and right break is for front break only.So its good and safe.
4.leg space is not so good, but we can keep our small bags.I have kept a 42" suitcase in this place and traveled 23 km without any discomfort.So its not bad.
5.Before 1st Free service, I have tested its mileage (Empty tank till empty) and found it gave 52.5 km’h exactly.It could be more as my wife was learning driving this scooty so might be the reason for this and also as I used to drive car and Thunderbird with high speed hence was driving this always with speed more then 60.So expecting it could be above 55 km/l if some one will drive under 40-50km/h.
6.After 1st Service, it was 55KM/L with same as my own driving style.
7.Shock observer is the worst thing what I have noticed.I haven’t tried other scooty so don’t know its same for others or for this Activa-i only.
8.Some time while driving @ 60 km/h over any flyover where wind pressure is more, that time I found bit balancing issue which generally in bike we don’t observe.
9.Some day in morning time found starting trouble but not like issue.In 2-3 try it’s started.in future it might be problem. Honda Service team recommending everyday morning use kick start instead of self start.It will improve battery life.
- Under-seat storage is not enough.Its design inside is very bad.You can’t keep 1 helmet and 1 litter water bottle together easily until you do some forceful adjustment.
Price: Interesting thing I have observed for its pricing.
Visited more than 5 reputed Honda showroom in Chennai and all of them showing interesting quotes.
It was ranging from Rs 53, 000 -Rs 61, 000 including all charges(on road price).

So finally taken at Rs 53, 408.
So before purchasing must check with all showroom’s price.
Activa-i is far better then Wego/Jupiter/Pleasure.
But my favorite is always Honda - Dio.:-)
