I have the worst experience ever trying to buy a Honda Activa.
This incident occurred at City Honda
202, 1st Block 7th Main Kalyan Nagar HRBR Layout Bangalore .
My personal advise please don’t buy a bike from there, it is not the right place for honest people.
If you can bribe then you can pursue buying from there.
I have cancelled buying this bike because of the incident that occurred today.
We were almost forced to pay interest for a bike we don’t own and false promises of delivery.
Things that people need to be aware of when buying a honda activa and using the loan facility:
they say that the approx delivery of the bike is 110 to 120 days. they will send you a message on the 115 day.
it takes 5 days for document verification for loan and for loan approval.
you start paying interest for a bike you dont own on 120 days.
it will take another 2 to god know how many weeks to get the bike.
so you will be paying interest for 15 days or more for a bike that is not delivered to you and dont believe the false promises about the delivery they make to you.
Alternate option:
My hunch is try and Bribe and get the bike within 90 days.
or
Go to TVS and in a honest way get a bike in 2 days including loan approval.
Here is the story:
I had booked the bike on 9th April, the agent who handled the case was, Arun.
he promised us that he will try to get us the bike in 100 days. We paid 1000 Rs and made the booking. we came back in 100 days to check, we were told that the receipt given to us says that bike delivery is 110 to 120 days(We were lied to at this point)and we will be sent a message and we have to come then to proceed. we got the message 115 days. we went to get the bike, we were told that document verification has to be done to get a loan and will take 4 to 5 day.
we submitted the documents within a day and the verification took 4 days. we got a call that our file was cleared and asked us to make a down payment.
Yesterday we made the down payment 9th Aug, of 20, 000Rs.
Today we went to ask them when we can collect the bike and the manager Raj told us that it will take approximately 2 more weeks to get the bike. because our loan was cleared we were already paying interest. and again the manager was making false promises about a 2 week delivery.
that is 120 days+ another dunno know how many weeks.
Also, where I had the problem. we start paying interest for a bike we dont own. and we are at the Mercy of the dealers.
I showed my annoyance and disappointment, and the manager said that he will get us the bike in 10 days on priority.
But were disheartened with this whole lie and talking for a ride thing and walked out of there cancelling our bike on 121st days after making the booking.
I am doing this with the good intentions of being a honest and a good Indian citizen and for the benefit of all my fellow Indian family.
