I got the new Honda Activa in January 2014 for around 62K at Haiku Honda centre, KR Puram, Bangalore. This is my first 2 wheeler so I went for the so-advertised "most sold 2 wheeler". My experience with the bike has so far been good. I got a dashing black Honda Activa powered with HET engine capability. As far as looks go, this vehicle looks stunning. The pickup and the speed of the vehicle are very good. But Im extremely disappointed by the service of Haiku honda service centre in KR Puram.
It was sad to see mechanics stand around the customers asking for tips(even though there is a board asking customers not to pay tips to their workers).
The service center mechanics seem pretty lazy in solving the problems. I wanted to fix my number plate on the white board that was given. I told the mechanic this and had gone to meet a guy upstairs. Before I came, the mechanic stuck the number sticker on the vehicle directly and said number plates are out of fashion and this is the new style. I told him to change it but he seemed pretty negligent about it and started doing his other works. When I was about to leave, he came and asked me for tips. I was pretty annoyed at his behavior. This was the first instance.
When I gave the vehicle for service, I had clearly told him that I just needed the engine oil changed and normal water wash and cleaning service was enough. Despite that, he had added "Body polish" and added another Rs. 50 for the polish and Rs. 70 for doing it. I was pretty annoyed at this. I went and asked him to take this back and why did you add this. He started giving justifications that the vehicle would look better, and the color had faded and stupid explanations. His attitude towards customers was pretty bad. I didnt want to waste my time there. I could see other customers fight for the same Body Polishing issue.
These guys at Haiku Honda service center are pretty damn lazy, insolent, arrogant and dont know what customer service means. And, the service is pretty ordinary. Haiku Honda management, get your act together - your service centre sucks big time.
