I took delivery of the new activa on 2nd april 2009 from PLANET HONDAin BANGALORE. I have had the previous version of the Activa for 4years. I sold it, thinking that the new one would be better.
But I must say, I am very very disappointed. Firstly there is a hell ofa lot of vibration on the foot board. A half hour ride will give youNUMB feet.
I went to the honda dealer and explained about the excessivevibration.The answer the service manager gave was.the newactiva had a more powerful engine than the previous model and hence theVIBRATION.I did not know whether to LAUGH or to CRY at the sillyanswer. I insisted on a thorough check up and they they took it to theservice dock and gave it back after an hour and told me that they hadserviced the clutch and greased some parts and that it was fine now. Ifound that the VIBRATION had not decreased at all! I guess I willhave to get used to having numb feet for atleast 5 years.
I got it serviced on 29th April.No difference in thevibration.and there was a new problem. jerking.I took it backto the dealer.the service manager asked me to come back after afew days!.the reason.they were very busy! Again I did notknow, whether to LAUGH or to CRY!
I some how got hold of a senior guy s phone number at PLANET HONDA and tried to explain my problem.LO AND BEHOLD!.He said he was busy in a meeting and disconnected the phone!
I felt ANGRY and DISGUSTED!
Well.So much for the customer service and customer satisfaction! It surely has gone for a toss.!
Shame on HONDA, Firstly for producing such a bad Scooter and secondly for choosing PLANET HONDA as a dealer!
The Dealer(PLANET HONDA) is know to be the worst when it comes to’service of two wheelers’ among all Honda dealers in bangalore.
I have also had a experience previously, when PLANET HONDA billed me for a NEW CLUTCH SET and when I got it checked from a CASTROL service outlet(because my activa had jerking inspite of the claimed new CLUTCH SET replacement), I found out the CLUTCH SET was atleast two years old if not more. I HAD BEEN CHEATED by PLANET HONDA!
I have decided not to get the new active serviced from the dealer.
