I am using Brio(S MT(o)) since march 2012 and completed 14600 kms. It’s my second and family’s third car. I have little knowledge about bikes and cars. After lots of research I choose Brio. I mostly drive in city and in a month or two I go on highways as well.
The car has fantastic engine, no doubt in it. It is best in city and good on highways. Initially I had some issues in gear changing (specially 3rd to 2nd) and steering felt dead. Others also experience the same. At that time Honda guys said gears will get better after some months, I did not believe them at that time. But yes now gears has improved a lot and Steering is light not dead.
Actually when you drive Brio after driving other hatchbacks (which have heavy steering) its steering will feel super light or dead. But after driving it for some days you will love steering feel. On highways it gets heavier which it should. Highway stability is good, even at 120km/hr. I touched 140 km/hr couple of times while it could have touched 150km/hr with few more RPMs.
Regarding mileage I get 12.5 -13.5 in city with 90% AC. On highways I get 17.2 - 18.1 Km/pl with 90% AC. But if you drive at 100 - 110 Km/hr you will easily get >18.0 km/l with AC. Brio has best visibility to all the corners which makes it good for city driving. But its seating is low, so person having height less than 5.4 can face difficulty in judging the corners. Front and rear passengers space is fantastic like sedan but this car is not perfect it also has some (-)vs. Luggage space is less.
Three small bags or two suitcases that’s it. It has split seats. Its body weight is very less, its good for city but as per me little more kgs could have made this car far better. I observe suspension give more stable ride when there are 2 or 3 persons inside, it may be because of soft suspension. Brio has 4 speakers and it sounds decent (does not have CD option), by putting amplifier only music experience can be enhanced.
Brio does not have rear wiper, Bluetooth, climate control etc.
In short I found Brio a good package. Best in city and good on highways. And the most important it has ABS, EBD with dual bag which I consider must have thing in a car.
