Last Sunday I had a chance finally to test the claimed prowess of my baby fire blade after run-in period and first service at 915 Kms on Odo. Must say that I reached 138 kmph without much difficulty on the potent 5th Gear at 10000 rpm. The trailers ahead thwarted me to go further and for reasons of safety I had to abate my enthusiasm.
The bike has and is always been a pleasure to ride. The pick up is impressive and hits top note pretty quick. Very comfortable to ride. Must say my 200Km non-stop ride didn’t even cause any bit of repercussion on any part of me. Handling is praise worthy! Mileage is around 48-50Kms overall. The engine is smooth and its sounds better by the day.
I’m just getting addicted to the thrill of riding this baby and at times all roads seem to look like race tracks with the braking being precise and sharp.Love the attention that I get in the streets, in front of malls, temples and crowded alleyways and answering queer questionnaire from strangers in short terse sentences.
Would take this love of my mine to around a 1000 km non-stop test to Shirdi very soon. You know, I’m already hearing the benign call of Baba.
I hate to compare bikes and all I can say that CBR suits a Sporty Tourer (who rides long stretches at a go) like me with better ergonomics, decent mileage and high power. All things bright and beautiful..the Lord God made them all!.
