I did select the City ZX after a thorough research of all the good cars around. The Balenos, Accents, Fiesta Etc.
Finally got the good thing delivered as per what the Dealer promised in fourth week of December 2005. I have used it for a good 10 Months now and can confidently write about its performance.
Coming to its looks, I know that it is probably the most subjective of all parameters as it depends on individual tastes and preferences. I think ZX is the most seductive in its class. Futurisitic design, great paint quality, flashy headlights all add up to its sex appeal:-) I love this thing.
I normally drive down to my office which is about 12KM one way. I should say that I drive through the best roads in Hyderabad. Banjara Hills to Hitec City. The drive quality is super and I hardly feel any noise creeping into the car. You feel you are in your own private bedroom. Power Steering is real powerful and way better than the Aveo or the fiesta. I see people comparing ZXs pickup a little sluggish due to its lower BHP as compared to Esteem or the Baleno but trust me, you would not feel it all that much. To be honest, I found Honda much better than Esteem especially with the AC on. This thing really gallops after you cross 35-45KMPH. You just dont feel anything inside even at speeds of 100Kmph+. Unfortunately, I have not been able to drive this on long drives but I love this thing rocks.
Coming to fuel Efficiency. It returns a good 13Kmpl with AC on to 15 sometimes....It had done 4000KM till now. I guess it will still improve but I am more than happy. Suspension and Ride are AWESOME.
Interiors are spacious roomy but I found Aveos interiors richer and more comtemporary. As some of our friends pointed out, I have two things which I dont like with this car.
A section Bar which restricts view considerably especially in turnings
The front Bumper(the plastic section) is too plasticky. Even a child can pull it off. Honda needs to work on strenghening the bumpers while retaining asthetics.
Overall, I could not be more than happy with Honda...I just LOVE IT.
