Honda entered the Indian market in 2001 with two scooters - in a segment which was believed to be taking its last breath at the time of their arrival. Against all odds, both the scooters - Activa and Dio went on churning large number of volumes for their parent company, which has went on to become the second largest two wheeler manufacturer in the Indian market. Both the scooters were design to cater different set of consumers while the Activa was targeted towards the mature audience who wanted a family scooter, the Dio was aimed at the young minds who were new to the world of motoring.

The Dio has always been one of the most loved scooters by the younger minds, especially the college goers, all these years. With its refurbished design, the new Dio has become a more stylish product, though it would have been better if Honda had equipped the Dio with a couple of more utility features, which would have increased its value for money proposition. That said, the original moto scooter of India has just become better than before, and while the changes are minimal, they do count in its advantage.
