I finally got my Honda jazz on 17th December, 09 and I have fallen head over heals for this car. After taking numerous test drives on the Hyundai i20(diesel), Hyundai Verna(petrol), Skoda Fabia(petrol and diesel) and Honda Jazz, I finally decided it was going to be the Honda Jazz for me. Believe me, it wins hands down to all its peers. One thing that struck my mind is that, although I have the Honda Jazz base model, it has all the safety features which the competitors have in their high end model. However, I feel for that price Honda should have packaged it with climate control & USB/IPOD slot.
All said and done, once you get into the Jazz its a super experience. The wind screen is HUGE! and gives you a nice and wide view of the front. The dashboad has a great built quality & stereo system gives a good output. The space inside the car is just mind blowing. It really feels like a mini Toyota Innova. Seriously, Honda has gone an excellent job in space management, just not in the front and rear seats but also in the boot department. No wonder they have named the seats as Magic seats, a feature which you wont find in any other hatchback, it folds flat making space for 4 adults to sit comfortably. Finally, the quality of its upholstery is simple awesome.
Honda has made sure you get your moneys worth for every penny you have paid!
Talking about the engine, it feels nice and peppy. Although, 1.4 litre engine would have made it much better. As of now, I am getting an average of 12.3 kms/ltr in Mumbai city(highway and internal city driving). Driving in the city feels good. I like the way the car handles in the congested Mumbai roads. Frankly, I am desperate to rate this car better when I take it on a long drive.
All said and done for the amount I have paid.It better be the best premium hatchback in the country!
