Shine is fine but vibrates on 50+.

I got Honda Shine 125 (Kick Start, alloy wheels, no Disk break) on **14th oct 07** in Noida. Now completed** 1000+km** & now writing review.

Good looking, Constant average, Smooth ride below 50kmph. It **vibrates quite a lot **if speed is 50+. It’s also less stable because of thinner rear wheel. It can **skid very easily**.

I got mileage of **63 - 65kmpl** for first 1000 km. Well to note that I kept(very very hardly) my speed on & below 50km per hour. After 1000km, I started going with speed 50 - 60 - 70. But the bike vibrates a lot at these speeds. The **mileage came down to 60**. So Honda’s claim of 65kmpl seems true in economic speed of below 50kmph only. I drove it with normal as well as power fuel from HP & IOC.

Honda claims it to go to 0 to 60kmph in 5.3 sec. But I could never find it like that. I can achieve **45kmph in 5 - 6 sec**, but 60 is still far far away. May be my gear changing pattern is not that efficient or what ? Could not figure out.

Hello ppl,

Writing again after using Shine for almost 6 months. I am using it usually to commute to office and go to nearby places (Range of 6-10km). I got 3rd free service of the bike this week.

*+ves:*

The bike runs fine and hasn’t set me back anytime in between the roads till date.

Shine **still vibrates** if speed is 50+. May be, now I am used to it. But sometimes I get headache in medium-long drives (20 - 30km) ... may be bcz of vibrations all over the body.

Before 3rd service, its average fell down to around **57kmpl**, which is **quite low** as per my expectations as I just completed 2, 500km now. If I ride bike within **economy speed range of 30 to 50kmph**, then average comes good 60 and above, but if bike is ridden above 50kmph, then average is not guaranteed. **The faster you go, the worse the mileage you get**.

2nd problem is, every morning I have to apply choke to start the bike. Without it, the bike doesn’t start.

3rd, claim of 0 - 60kmph in 5.3 sec seems fallacious yet. Could not achieve anytime during past 6 months.
