I am using the Honda shine for past 2 years.... I was one of those who believe honda makes bikes with nice engines.....
But till I covered around 1500 kms I felt that engine was not smooth during mornings... (i.e.) if the engine is not heated up enough, u feel as if you are in 3rd gear even if u r on top gear.... but slowly after clocking more than 2000 kms its ok now.....
Mileage I get around 47-48 in Bangalore.....
A major problem I felt was back wheel skids easily even if u apply sudden brakes driving at just a speed of 30 kmph. I complained to engineers on every service, but they said there is no mistake in the bike.... still I face that. I am very scard to apply brakes suddenly.
Other than that, ride quality is good..... pick up is average.... many times honda activa and HH splendor + easily overtakes me :)I have used super splendor and discover 125 cc as well.... I felt both were better in terms of speed and pickup...
Also the bike’s height is bit more than other ones... so guys of height less than 5.5 feet might find difficult in balancing while driving in city crowds.......
