I just came back to mouth shut after an year to know wat all are the new things added about Honda Unicorn.
Now I feel I am in a good position to evaluate this bike both 2006 and 2007 models.
I got the 2006 model in Oct-2006 and I sold in on June 2007 and baught 2007 model paid 25K extra fort that.
I didnt know anything about bikes before I baught this bike.SO I read all reviews in mouthshut for few months.
Just saying frankly that I am not satisfied with this bike(or my dealers service).
The problems I felt about OLD bike
1, My rear suspension got bouncing problem and dealer replaced it free of cost
2, On roads with patches, the riding is very bumpy.
3, Handle / wheel alignment problems occured frequently.
4, Fuel indicator was not correct.
Bye the way let me say that I lerned biking in the 2006 model unicorn. So I thought all these issues are caused because I was learning on this bike. So I thought to start from a clean slate and baught 2007 model in June 2007.
Sorry to say that this model also shows many issues.
1, Its very difficult to get speed > 60 . it need more throttle opening and feels very rigid on >60 KM
2, my dealer said not to use petrol with additive like speed or extra premium coz it damages carburator. So I stoped using additive petrol. But still I gues carburator is not correct.
3, Same wheel / handle alignment issue sees in 2007 model also.
4, In morning, its difficult to start bike. also feels like there is no petrol comming to engine for some time in morning.
Some times I ride Pulsar 150cc, even though its seating poster is not good, rest I thing pulsar is better than Unicorn.
I dont think, that both times, I got the bad piece but this bike is not that good.
Also I request other experts in this forum to post advice to deal with the isues which I statd above.
