Am gonna give a short n useful review. AM A DOCTOR 2 SO FOLLOW CAREFULLY. It depends on how many different bikes u’ve rode b4 u give a review n am a extreme biker so here goes. I bought a honda unicorn immed after it was released received it on 19 feb 2005, regd ap31 ah 4183, visakhapatnam andhra.I’ve rode approx over 2lakh km on it [long rides mostly] n here’s wat I feel:
PROS:
very good seatin angle n seat width, handlin is good. USING 2 MUCHDISC BRAKES CAN USUALLY CAUSE CRAMPS IN WRISTS BT THIS IS LESSER WITHUNICORN!
good mileage. 4yrs n countin n still its >50kmpl
engine durability [lesser heatin up n stoppin on long drives] is very gud not d best though.
lesser sound wen drivin[silencer is very good]
pick up n maximum speeds drop to 45kmph in 5 sec n 90/100kmph on d long run after 4 yrs.
disc brake is good. tested at 80kmph with pillion rider@ 70kg. don use brakes wen bendin d bike at high speeds!!!!!!!!!!!
amazin bike 4 long drives around 1500km in 3 days over terrain, forests[mud n slush]
vibration of d bike at max speeds depend on how many accidents u had. ihad 2 major accidents on d bike n its better dan oder accident pronebikes like pulsar n karizma but is not d best coz forks n handle canttake much damage n live strong.
cons:
brakes make screechin sound if it rains n dont apply[stop bike] well
all parts get rusted easily[new version 2]
speedometer cables, batteries don last a day longer dan d warranty if not earlier.
tyres though gud, wid gud brakes, shouldn’t be banked much[bending while driving]. even tho d wheel base is 1334mm, it skids. this prob tho rectified in newer version 2 some extent, still persists. oder bikes can be bent better wen drivin at high speeds[80kmph]
