And was designed by the R&D team of Honda based in Osaka, Japan. The design of the bike was done keeping in mind Indian road conditions. Many new features were incorporated, such as two-way air jacket, a diamond frame, an engine producing a torque of 12.8 Nm at a relatively low 5500 RPM for good fuel economy. The first version of the bike featured spoke wheels and only kick starter. The bike is renowned for its smooth engine and a perfect gearbox. The quality of the bike is also well praised.


The second version featured a self starter and graphics on the body. Honda released this version to compete with the Bajaj Pulsar and the TVS Apache. Changes included alloy wheels, powder coated engine with a buffed head and new graphics, clear lens indicator lamps, a trip meter, and a slightly smaller rear grab rail. A limited Moto GP edition had the guise of a Repsol Honda RC211V


Also the new Unicorn comes with a new stylish meter console. A new gear shift lever which is designed specifically to place the control on your toes is the major change in the new Unicorn. 3Dimensional Honda wing mark on the fuel tank for royal and sophisticated look>
