Unicorn Rocks!!

2 years ago, my parents finally gave me permission to buy a bike. I was still a student then. Fortunately, my parents did not force me to go for the usual splendor. They gave me full freedom to make a choice. Hurray.

But then comes the tough part. How do I decide which bike suits my requirement?

First of all, I had to narrow down on a certain segment. i.e 100cc, 125cc, 150cc, 180cc etc.

100cc - Fuel efficient bikes. But not suitable for distances more than 10km. Underpowered. not very comfortable.

125cc - A bit of fuel efficiency and a bit of power. somehow, did not like the segment.

150cc - Decent fuel efficiency and good power. suitable for my college commuting of 40-50 km a day.

Now which 150cc bike?

there was pulsar, CBZ, Fiero and the newly introduced unicorn.

I had test rides of the first 3 bikes and then went for unicorn test ride. The unicorn was simply awesome. The engine refinement, gearshifts, handling. simply amazing. quality was excellent.

Then I bought few old auto magazines which had reviews of unicorn. fuel efficiency according to the magazine was 50-55kmpl. what more does one want from a bike? best quality, best handling, comfort and also fuel efficiency.

I immediately booked for a blue unicorn. waiting period of 2 MONTHS! did not matter. I waited eagerly.

Post Delivery:

I have been riding Unicorn for past 2 years. The bike still looks like new. Paint quality is excellent. Engine is as smooth as new. Average fuel efficiency of 55 kmpl in bangalore. Horn is not loud enough. So, changed it to louder horn for 300 rs.

Regularly servicing it in haiku honda service station, Domlur, Bangalore. Reliability is excellent.

Proud to be a Wing Rider
