I bought my uni in march 2008 and I am really delighted by its performance....before buying this bike i had shortlisted pulsar150, pulsar 200, apache rtr and unicorn....and after a lot of research finally I decided to go for unicorn....
Fuel consumption is excellent its gives me mileage of 58kms/ltr which I think so is the highest in 150cc segment.....so it beats all the bikes that I had short listed.....
It has a upright sitting position so its really comfortable for long rides....u will never get tired of riding on a unicorn....and yes the rear sitting position is little highted so the person seating behind u can easily see the front road....and mono supension works great.....
Considering reliability its a honda product .....reliablity of this bike is really great.... the engine is really smooth...its a noiseless machine.....engine remains cool and silent even if u go for a long ride.....while riding the bike u dont come to know whether the engine is running or not...gear shifting is really smooth.....and u can beat any 150cc bike in a race wid unicorn....its ma personal experience I had beaten my friend who was on pulsar and I was on my uni wid one of friend and I easliy drove ahead of him being double seated...it has no vibration even at a high speed and more u increase the speed more silent it gets.....my friend has a four year lod unicorn but its engine is still like a new uni...
handling and controlling is also good... it is a beat heavy as compared to other 150cc bikes......and tat gives it a good grip on road even at high speed....pick up and acceleration is good and engine is really responsive.......
it has a very good sporty and macho looks...the tank design, speedometer although analog has a good design, black colour engine wid honda written in red etc....
the only three bad things abt uni are
its headlight
taking turns is little tuff beacuse of its heaviness
and honda’s after sales service....
and this things are negligible....
so I wud advise people to go for honda unicorn rather then buying pulsars and apaches which are useless bikes...engine is noisy and vibrating and after 1yr becomes a 100cc engine..
