I just bought it few weeks back ( maybe 1 or 2 weeks) . So this review is based on short term use of the phone.
Honor 9 lite is a smaller brother of honor 9 which was released a few months back. It costs 10, 999/- and 14, 999/-. I got the 10, 999/-version which has 32gb storage and 3gb ram but other features are same as the 14, 999/- version. So it’s obvious that 10, 999/- is value for money. There are 3 colors availabe currently which are sapphire blue, glacier grey and midnight black, I got the glacier grey because at the time of sale only that was left.
The phone is shiny so it feels like an expensive phone. Screen to body ratio is awesome( 81% screen) which makes the phone stand out at this price range. It has 18: 9 aspect ratio which doesn’t do much first when I got the phone I wanted to test it so I started watching youtube but then I noticed it had black lines at the edges of the video well the videos wasn’t really 18: 9 so it can’t be helped because most of the videos now a days are only of 16: 9 aspect ratio. Sound quality is quite good but not as good as redmi note 5. Comes with a dual camera setup yet looses to redmi note 5 which has single camera. Front facing camera isn’t that good either and it doesn’t come with front flash either. The problem lies in it’s camera app as it automatically beautifies the person which we can’t seen to turn it off. Though it has a decent camera but it doesn’t support 4k recording. Easy to carry around and due to its aspect ratio 18: 9 easy to hold and use with one hand. Even though its processor isn’t powerful than redmi note 5 pro which has snapdragon 636 honor 9 lite has better ram management which makes honor 9 lite just as powerful as redmi note 5 pro. 3gb ram for faily use is quite good enough, it’s Userinterface doesn’t consume much of a ram as well so enough ram is available for apps. It may lag when playing heavy games. It has Hybrid sim slot so that’s a bummer. It has an advantage of getting faster updates tham xiaomi redmi note 5 pro. It has andriod oreo which is quite a deal breaker for me. It has got face recognition feature which is unexpectedly fast but it won’t recognize you if you are wearing glasses or anything else as it’s not an AI Face recognition. It comes with fingerprint sensor which works good as well. Though design might give you a little problem as the speaker is on bottom.

Overall- Excellent phone for that price range but if you have a little more money then definetly you should go for redmi note 5 pro.
