Far from the madding crowd

Hotel Millennium Park is a 3-star hotel tucked within the glorious valleys of Panchgani. The hotel is very close to Bhartiya Vidya Peeth and is completely surrounded by lush greenery and mountains. The ambience is good, the lawns and gardens are pretty well-maintained.

As we stayed during the monsoons, there were hardly any guests. Nevertheless the service was prompt and good. Probably due to lack of people, the daily meals menu was fixed. As we are vegetarians I can’t comment on the non-veg fare but the veg food was quite delicious. The gym was pretty much OK - far better than the gym at Holiday Inn Goa! For children there is a double-decker mini-train that takes them around the hotel premises (which is quite huge).

The play park is also well-maintained and so are the plants. We didn’t venture into the discotheque so cannot comment on that. The swimming pool is clean too. The only disappointing factor was lack of a library for children & adults which would have been ideal considering that the rains didn’t allow for any swimming or sight-seeing. I would recommend this place for those who wish for a quiet and blissful weekend getaway.
