The service is nothing special but its prompt, the ambience is almost always hustling and bustling, and during peak hours you might find people peering over your shoulders expecting you to finish your meal as soon as possible.
How people still manage to crowd this place irrespective of the stratospheric prices still baffles me. This isnt a place Id recommend to you to visit with friends or family if you want to have a quiet conversation, but if a quick lunch or an early breakfast is in schedule, this is the place to be.
A visit to Chennai, for me, is incomplete with out visiting to Sarvana Bhavan. Pure food, Pure South. Curd rice is always served in a mashed way and very pasty.
Roti and Phulka are always soft and tasty. Juices are good. Aloo Gobi curry was superb. It was rich in taste and thick curry. Service is always good.
Ambiance is excellent in AC hall. They got a sweet section in ground floor. It also serves tasty sweets.
