I had been to Shimla with my family in April. I had book rooms in this hotel through internet. They had charged me 1700 for a room and believe me it’s not worth it. The carpet all over the place is very shabby including rooms. Curtains are dirty as if not washed from months. Blankets are very hard and old ones we used in 90s not good soft cozy ones available now. The view is pathetic, nothing great about it. Though rooms are big but poorly maintained. The electrical switches are loose enough.
There are lot of better hotels in Shimla with similar tariff like

Balajee Regency

PLEASE DON’T STAY IN HOTEL SURYA TO SPOIL YOUR HOLIDAY MOOD AND MONEY. THERE ARE LOT OF BETTER OPTIONS AVAILABLE AS I HAVE MENTIONED EARLIER.
