I have had a very bad
experience with Hotspot mobile stores in Pune. It starts from the Aundh outlet,
where I had been to buy a Nokia E51 handset a couple of months ago. I wanted a
black colored piece. The shopkeeper dint have it in the stock but assured me
that it will be available in 1-2 days, I preffered to wait. After 2 days, he
again repeated the same thing, I gave him my number and took his shops contact
no. so that unnecessary travel can be avoided. They had a scheme going on in
which they were offering a bluetooth headset free along with a mobile costing
Rs. 5000 or more. I wanted to go for that scheme. After more than a week of
lingering on, he offered me an open piece of the color of my choice, but I
denied as I was not too keen on buying an open piece. One of the persons
standing behind the counter misbehaved with me and we had an argument over it.
A different guy asked me to wait for another 2-3 days for a box packed piece.
In the meantime I had gone to J.M. Rd. store where I experience an identical
situation of scarce supply. The guy there also made me wait for more than 8-9
days. They told me there was a shortage from Nokias end. I was so pissed of on
the service these people had to offer, I actually went flexible and asked them
for a different color if black wasnt available. But, to my disappointment,
these people could not manage even a single handset of any color possible
within the 5 stores in the city for more than a month. I finally went to
another regular shop at J.M. Road and bought the handset sans bluetooth headset
but Im happy because the shopkeeper has very competitive prices, also I got
the color of my choice. And yes, this guy had plenty of E51s available with him
in all the available colors. There was no shortage from Nokias side.
