The one liner story is good and has loads of scope for comical moments. The basic story line is on lines with the story line format ofHousefull andHousefull 2. Every scene involving Akshay Kumar and Abhishek Bachchan are hilarious. The first half is totally entertaining with loads of enjoyable moments.
There are few enjoyable moments in the second half, which will keep the smile intact on your face. There are many one-liners and punches(Ulta toh Tarak Mehta ka chasma bhi hota hain, Gambhir toh Gautam bhi hain, Surat toh Gujarat mein bhi hain, bacche kar rahi hu - just kidding, kamwali gai kamwali gai - let bygones be bygones & many more) which will be enjoyed by the audiences. You will enjoyPyaar Ki Maa Ki, Tang Utha Ke andYeh Ishq Ishq due to its picturisation and choreography. Abhishek Bachchans rapping is one of the key highlight from the film. Director Sajid-Farhad returns back after giving us a dud likeEntertainment. They strictly follow theHousefull series format and partly succeed in the first half of the film but starts to fail out in the later part.Akshay Kumar is superb in this movie.
His split personality track(inspired fromMe Myself and Irene) is thoroughly enjoyable. Abhishek Bachchan is great in his part. He shines out in the comical scenes as well as the rapping part.Ritesh Deshmukh has always been the golden goose in such type of films, even out here he is enjoyable but not at his best.Boman Irani is hilarious and does his part with total grace.
The second half slows down the pace of funny moments and tries to create a back story which is bland and boring at times. There should have been more funny moments in the second half to enhance the confusion level between the characters.
The jokes start to fade out and the plot keeps running on a thin line due to which the movie settles down. Sadly, these one liners and punches also starts to fade out in the second half as the writers try to insert more detailing in story line. Music was again a high point in the earlierHousefull series, out here the songs are good too, but, not chart busters as required for such films. Wished the director duo had created more funny sequences in the second half and enhanced the fun.
