I have been house hunting for my father for the past few months and looked at various websites met with few agents and went to see new upcoming projects. I should tell you it is not a easy job at all and I have been disappointed on all front and it is tiring.
This review which I am writing is about a new web portal that I found through an article in the Economic times yesterday. This site is called housing.co.in and was started by 12 IIT people but it is not a story about the 12 IIT people but the web portal they created.
So to check what have they created and as I was looking for houses I went and googled the website and when I opened it man was I surprised. I don’t know any other website which does this stuff but this was amazing.
The website on the front page has five major cities and then you click on one and go looking for your house virtually with pictures of the flats and maps to guide where these houses are. It also provides you with details of commute and what amenities that place gives you.
The Portal looked very clean which means it is in its nascent stage. Just imagine at this stage it looks great when it is fully developed then it will be the best place to find your houses for rent or to buy.
So go buy yourself a house as I have been short listing my options from here.
